Re-Animator

I LOOOVVEEE Re-Animator!!!! i bought a hard-cover collection of lovecraft stories just so i could see the original material

i love re-animator, i stole the fixation when one of my friends compared Herbert West (played by the amazing Jeffrey Combs) to a character from a mutual show we like. The re-agent is such a fascinating prop

the reagent prop in the movie was actually the first big-screen usage of glow-stick fluid! The neon green has become a wonderful calling card for the fandom, and its amazing to know that its so common in the world due to its common origins.

CGI Animation

history of CGI is a deeply fascinating concept for me, and I believe it always has been.

VeggieTales technically came first in the realm of full fledged televized CGI, releasing in 1993 directly on VHS. its charming style was due to limitations in software at the time, and the creators wanted to avoid matters like hair, arms, legs, and other complicated features that models would need.

this was soon dismantled the following year in 1994, when the canadian show ReBoot released. ReBoot will be mentioned later on, due to my immense emotional attachment. ReBoot took VeggieTales lack of human-features and rather just spat on them, implementing techniques like ray-tracing and full human bodies and dynamic eyeballs into their show.

i bet that wasnt how it really happened but its funny for me to imagine.

oh, and then the next year in 1995, Toy Story came out! this is where my interest ends.

my favorite videos from the time lay around the 1980s, in demo reels and adverts. videos like Fabricated Rhythm (1987) (which had a track specifically made for it!), Snoot and Muttly (1984), Eurythmy (1989), and others are prime examples of the breakthroughs being made at the time.

lost media

Lost Media is a deeper topic for me, in a similar theme to the CGI. older medias are a lost art, as shown by these examples.

media like movies, games, and music pique my interest. Songs in this genre include Ulterior Motives (Everyone Knows That) and Subways of Your Mind (TMS), while some games include Roly-Polys, an Osamu Sato edutainment game, GayBlade (i dont know a lot about this one i just think it’s funny to include), and others that are yet to be found.

sometimes lost media is fake, and can be attention stunts from people to gain internet credits. Some examples of this is “A Day with Spongebob”, “Mario Nights”, my personal favorite, “Polybius”, and even some more inappropriate examples like Saki Sanobashi, AKA “Go For A Punch”.
